Military, Law Enforcement, ranchers and hunters commonly utilize this configuration to provide quick access weapon storage in addition to keeping other tools and gear within arms reach from the driver or rear seat.
Already in use with a wide array of United States and International Military, Federal Agencies, Local Fire, Rescue, EMT and Law Enforcement users, this is a combat and field proven system for saving lives by decreasing reaction time when seconds count.

- The option to remove headrest allows you to use "D-Ring" styles straps.
- Available in standard sewn side-release buckle version or in "Push Button - D-Ring Head Rest Post Strap" versions.
- Remove headrest, slip D-Ring strap on each headrest post, replace headrest into seat. Secure the loose end of the D-Ring straps to the top of the RMP.
- Loop the longer Bottom strap around the base of the seat and secure to the RMP on both sides on bottom of panel.
- Tighten to desired fit.
- Optionally lock the RMP panel by passing a cable lock through one of the holes or rectangular punch outs on the RMP panel and then loop through the metal base of the vehicle seat to lock it to vehicle.
For Seats with Fixed Headrests - Loop Around Top Straps:
- Lace Female Buckle strap through any punch out on panel, pass strap end up through front of buckle body, then back down through the back side of buckle body. Cinch down on loose end to tighten up.
- Loop the shorter Top strap around the base of the seat and secure to the RMP on both sides on top of panel.

For Seats with Exposed Metal Frames (MRAP and Similar):
- If holes on outside of panel line up with metal frame, simply mark where screws/bolts will be on the Metal Seat Frame, drill and tap to accept screw/bolt of your choice.
- If existing holes on panel do not line up, mark and drill new holes in panel to pass mounting hardware through.
- Recommended to Mount panel using Nylon Spacers (5/16" x .25"ID available through GMT) to provide standoff.
Mounting RMP to Safe Door
Mounting to Internal Wood Panel of Safe Door:
- Line up RMP in desired location.
- Using "Hardware Mounting Kit - Self Drilling Screws with Nylon Spacers" available through GMT slide the Self Drilling Screw through the outside edge holes on the RMP, slide a spacer onto it, and then drill/screw into the wood paneling of the safe door.
- A pilot hole may be drilled if desired prior to applying screws/spacers.
Attaching Quick Fist Gear Clamps
- Set Backer Plate into punch out from back of panel at desired location.
- Accessories with multiple backer plates may need the backer plates to be oriented properly for either vertical or horizontal mounting
- Pass screws through rubber Quick Fist Clamp and line up with drilled/tapped hole in backer plate, secure by screwing into hole.
- Multiple sizes of Quick Fist Rubber Clamps are available to secure different sized tools.
- The same procedure can be used to attach any accessory that requires backer plates
Attaching MOLLE Pouches
Upgrading to accept Velcro Hook/Loop Pouches
To upgrade any RMP to accept Hook backed pouches, morale patches, or accessories follow the below steps:
To adhere the Adhesive backed Velcro Loop tape to your RMP panel:
- Purchase "Low Profile Loop - Adhesive Backed - 1" Width" from GMT.
- Ensure the panel is cleaned with an alcohol wipe and completely dry.
- Peel the backing off the adhesive backed velcro tape and place the loop section onto the panel. Press firmly into place, and then press further with a rolling pin or place heavy weight onto panel to compress and ensure full contact.
- Apply heat from a hair dryer to warm up the panel and the velcro, enabling the adhesive to "run" or liquefy enough to seep into the panel for a better bond.
- Optionally, use 3M Primer 94 to prime the surface before sticking the adhesive backed velcro into place. This promotes higher adhesion to the panel.

Excellent service great product
Brought two 15.25 X 25 RMP panels. Which made my VW transporter Van a lot more organised with essential kit. The van is a on going project as I’m trying make it more organised so it won’t take me too long to take out work tools and put in outdoor hiking and survival kit. For when I’m off on a adventure. These panels help me keep my kit organised and up out the way.
Under Truck Back Seat
I really wanted a solid rifle rack for under my flip up back seat in my '18 Silverado double cab. Couldn't find anybody doing it without using the straps which I didn't find too appealing. So I took the back seat out, removed the the bottom seat cover and cushion and put some 1/2" pine squares that I cut to fit between the seat frame and bottom of the cushion. I zip tied the wood to the frame to keep them from shifting (there ain't no way they're moving). I had to cut one small part of the cushion that molds into the frame so it would seat properly but other than that, there wasn't anything else I had to modify. Without lifting the seat up you would never know the rifle is down there, even the barrel of my full sized 16" rifle doesn't stick out from under the seat. Everything worked out better than I expected. At first I expected the weight of the rifle to cause the seat to not want to stay flipped up and fall back down on its own, but sure enough, it stays up without anything helping it. It definitely worked out better taking the whole seat out beforehand. Being I'm in Florida where you can't have your firearms easily accessible in your vehicle, it's definitely a pretty cool way to safely and inconspicuously secure my rifle while hitting the trails.
Solid Gear; You Can Feel the Quality
Stoked on my GMT gear. I waited until I had it installed and used out in the desert before reviewing. The cheap alternatives on Am*z*n all have their various shortcomings. After having hands on this gear, made in the USA, I’m satisfied that it’s worth the cost for quality. I like the D-ring attachment for seat-back installation. Works cleaner, and lower profile than wrap-around strap. Standard MOLLE configuration makes for easy, sure attachments. All the function, and it looks sharp too. Good job GMT.
