Rigid panel Rocks!
Installation was easy. The panel mounts on the pack of the passenger seat in my K5 Blazer and is rock solid— no movement. I have the carbine mounts, a rip-away med pouch, and the STRAP cord set up to hold a CAT TQ and a pair of gloves. It’s a great way to make use of otherwise useless seat back real estate to store gear. I may be adding more panels in the rear cargo area, if I can design a rack to mount to panels to.
I purchased the Rigid MOLLE panel and the rifle mount clamps for my 2105 GMC 1500 with 60/40 back seat. It fits nicely under the 60 split back seat with the 300 BLK, first aid kit, tourniquet, and extra mags mounted. The concealment aspect is what I was looking for. The product is very sturdy and I expect many years of use from it. I am extremely happy with the purchase as I put this off for many months looking for a less expensive alternative. But you get what you pay for, and I should have gone directly to Grey Man from the start. I would highly recommend Gray Man products and will be purchasing for my other vehicles.
We received five of these along with several mounting hardware options. We initially were going to use them to secure personal tourniquets to our molle vest, but after an animated discussion - you know the type when a bunch of Alpha personalities give their opinions, we decided to use them with the molle panels in our vehicles to secure a easy accessible tourniquet. After several weeks, we think we made the right decision. The strap holds the tourniquet securely to the molle panel but at the same time allows a one-hand removal of the tourniquet. Our straps came with the red pull tab, which is perfect. Very visible and the tab itself is the right size, it's go a texture finished so you can grip it with gloves. We plan to get a few more to mount smoke and flashbangs to the molle panels and a few extra for mounting things to the molle on our body armor. The straps are well made, no fear of them breaking or becoming loose over time. Well done Greyman Tactical.
RIP-M Panel Install on 2017 Honda Ridgeline
I bought the panels as way to keep my gear organized in the in-bed trunk of my Ridgeline pickup - and keep the small stuff from drifting to the bottom. The large number of mounting holes let me fit the panels to raised stiffeners on the underside of the trunk lid - because of the differing heights I had to use some 1/4" spacers rather than the 1/2" ones provided in the hardware kit. I also installed a smaller panel under the rear driver's side passenger seat, for attaching a first aid kit and probably a flashlight.
The S.T.R.Ap is truly a well designed product. I use my S.T.R.Ap to hold my C.A.T. tourniquets at the ready. The S.T.R.Ap system works great with the MOLLE system on my other Greyman Tactical gear, as well as my MOLLE system found on my plate carrier and tactical backpacks. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and I'll be back for more soon!
