What provision(s) are made to keep the entire rack from being removed from the vehicle?
From what I understand, by the simple expedient of removing the headrest and cutting/unfastening the nylon straps, the entire package could be stolen and the firearm(s) cut free elsewhere.
I work at a prison, and anything that would allow an escaping inmate to gain access to a firearm that could be used later is foolish. I am allowed a cabled locking safe attached securely to the vehicle to store a side arm. Something similar that could secure a long arm would be great. But if an inmate or criminal can get it out of the car and defeat the lock or safe elsewhere, then the system is useless, IMHO.

It depends how you install on your personal car/truck, by design you could in theory remove the straps, on the new upgrade a thief runs with an additional bolt secured under the seat rest, great idea , I personally have four sets like it and all I do for extra security is use self tap screws and attach directly to vehicle seat chassis , hope this helps
