My latest creation is the modern stagecoach/mad max/resident evil gun. My daughter thinks it's stupid but I said what if we still had stagecoaches, this is what the shotgun guy would carry. She said, we don't have stagecoaches anymore and I will take my 1301 any day... It's a Stoeger double defender with a Holosun HS510C red dot. If you haven't used optics on a shotgun you should, it's awesome. Slug head shots and all the buck on target every time! A Streamlight TLR-2 HL provides light and laser illumination. Two Gray Man Tactical 7 round Velcro shell holders provide 14 rounds of ammo, you can slip a few more of these in your pocket for quick replenishment. A Blackhawk sling with a Michigan Industries sling adaptor holds 15 more rounds for a total of 31 rounds of on gun firepower. I am impressed with how this gun patterns and a decent trigger means decent slug shots. Yeah, it's not a realistic fighting shotgun but it's reliable, accurate and fun! It's also plain old bad ass. Nothing says git like a good old double barrel. Excuse me while I make up some dime loads.
