FJ forums strike again
I saw a post about the GMT panels on the FJ forums and had to have one. I like the panel and the idea of mounting it on my FJ's dash but not thrilled about where the holes are on the panel. Let me preface with the fact that I don't have a planned layout yet for my IFAK, admin pouch and CB so I mounted the panel without thinking through screw placement. Some of the screws in their current location are going to block the top row if I need to use it, so I will have to move them to the sides. Doesn't thrill me to have more holes drilled. Not sure why the screw placement was not centered between the rows? Also, the screws are not the best looking for such a nice set up, so I am going to replace them with something flush and paint them. Overall the panel is great and likely work just fine with some tweaks.
Love the product
Received the products from German a while back but only recently had the time to install onto my FJ. The Rigid molle's are great, especially the one made specifically for the FJ, would be great if there were more products like that. I actually cut a small rigid molle panel to fit on the driver side empty space. Only able to mount pouches and tools as I'm in Hong Kong and they don't allow firearms. Love the products, looking forward to purchasing more.
Versatility and Convenience
My thought process was to mount something on my FJC dash that has the versatility to adapt to any given situation and satisfying my immediate needs without being too cumbersome. Whether that's mounting an iPad for an easy mobile workstation and/or co-pilot entertainment set-up, packs with various accessories for those off-road, trail treks, etc., etc...you get the picture. This RMP was exactly the piece of hardware I was looking for. It'll serve it's purpose in more ways than one! Highly recommend if you're in need of a mounting point system for your truck.
Not exactly a standard use but a great product
The FJ dash panel is a well made, rigid with just a little bit of flex, but somehow still light molle panel. While I didn't put it in an FJ, it worked very well for what I was trying to do... Ready magazine storage to the bottom of a shelf in a gun safe. Please overlook the air soft pouches, I didn't have the spare HSGI pouches this panel deserves on hand, to test my idea. The sag in the picture is the pouch mounting straps + there are only 4 screws along the front edge of the Greyman panel.
Useful mod for the FJ Cruiser
This molle panel for the FJ Cruiser is very practical. I'm not a military type so I don't have any machine guns or weapons to mount on this panel, but I use it to mount a catch all pouch which holds a standard water bottle, sunglasses, pens, flashlight, first aid items and misc. I like the way it looks. Installation was simple; however, it does not come with the mounting hardware. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to find what I needed. Overall I'm happy with the product and recommend it for anyone with an FJ Cruiser.
Hands down - Best FJ accessory yet!
Toyota missed an opportunity to utilize this dash space and Greyman Tactical to the rescue! Speaking of rescue, this is where all my immediate incident / crash response equipment is now located. IFAK, comms, signaling and extra pistol mags all stowed in an easy to reach and low profile manner. The Greyman way!
Hey guys, I absolutely love the Grayman brand and what the company stands for. I purchased the 16.5 x 6inch Fj cruiser dash storage panel. The shipping was fast with tracking. The installation was straight forward and easy with the optional hardware. The panel takes up that huge empty spot in front of the FJ’s dash. The panel is strong and rigid and holds a variety of my assets. I love rugged look it gives my Fj. I am able to quickly add molle pouches in a array of different sizes. I highly recommend this company and their products. I can’t wait to buy more of their products. So if you’re looking to get a panel for your vehicle, I highly recommend Grayman tactical. P.s . Ask for extra stickers.
